Welcome to Sacred +  Céramique

Sacred + Céramique exists to help you slow down, create mindful ritual, and connect with your ancestors through handcrafted vessels made with reverence and intention. These ceremonial bowls and cups are more than ceramics — they are portals for communion, reflection, and ancestral remembrance. 

We invite you to begin by calling in the Divine or Higher Power you believe in, asking that only beings of the highest light be present. Inspired by Indigenous Taino, Haitian Indigenous, African, and African diasporic traditions, this work honors the wisdom and memory of those who walked before us.

Most pieces are consecrated, prayed over, and marked with a sacred symbol. There are a few pieces that have no symbols as that is what some prefer and those too can be used intentionally. Many feature the veve of Papa Legba. Papa Legba has had a horribly false depiction through Western media, when that is not him at all. Papa Legba is a loving spirit that speaks all languages and is the gatekeeper who opens the way between the physical and spiritual realms. Others carry Ghanaian Adinkra motifs representing protection and beauty. 

These symbols act as spiritual keys, inviting the presence and guidance of benevolent ancestors and energies. What matters is the intention you bring to your sacred pieces. Some choose not to honor their ancestors with Sacred +  Céramique and instead, decide to engage in morning tea ritual as a reminder to set intention and slow down. 

Our vessels are designed for tea, libations, offerings, or personal ritual — practices that honor your lineage, nurture mindfulness, and cultivate clarity, intention, and presence.

 

The ceremonial offering bowls are for heartfelt offerings, such as food, rose petals, flowers, crystals, or gifts your ancestors would cherish. The point is to give a reverent offering of thanks when your ancestors answer your request and help you with a specific area. It's about reciprocity. The cups are to offer libations such as water or coffee, or you can simply enjoy this as your favorite ceremonial morning coffee or tea ritual. 

These consecrated items are designed to grace your altar or sacred space, inviting you to create your own rituals. Each Sacred + Céramique serves as a conduit for personal transformation, grounding you in the wisdom of those who came before you. By honoring your ancestors, you strengthen your connection to your truest Self.

I’m Vanessa LeMaistre, the creator behind Sacred + Céramique — an artist, author, and shaman with an M.A. in Resilient Leadership. This foundation shapes my passion for guiding others toward self-discovery, empowerment, and sustainable living through ancestral connection.

My work blends ancestral wisdom with modern craftsmanship to create ceremonial pottery that help cultivate clarity, healing, and spiritual growth. These are each handcrafted for you to build a deeper connection with your Higher Self, intuition, and spirit team. 

Rooted in my Haitian heritage, I am devoted to destigmatizing the harmful narratives that have long misrepresented our culture. As an intuitive artist, each piece is handcrafted with sacred symbols, thoughtful intentions, and energy to help you connect with your spirit and honor your lineage.
